Last class period we learned how to create a Google website for our classroom. We learned how to create a calendar for our website, and assignment page, a resource page, a file cabinet page, and a quiz page. This was really cool to learn and how a lot of it links with our gmail account so when we update something on the calendar on our gmail account, it automatically updates on our website.
This technology is important to me because I can use it to create a website of my own, whether it's for school or my personal life. A lot of people make you pay in order to create a website, but this allows you to create one for free! (which is totally awesome)
This is great for my future classroom because I can have a classroom website that helps the students and parents know what is going on in the classroom. It's also nice to create quizzes online because it automatically grades it! Also, parents can see what assignments are going to come up without having to rely on the kids to bring home the papers and remember what is going on. Really cool class!
